About Tableside AI

Built by an operator. For operators.

Most AI consultants have read about restaurants. The founder of Tableside AI has run one. Most restaurant tech companies have sold to operators. The founder has been on the buying side of those calls. Tableside AI is the bridge: an operator-built AI platform and advisory shaped by someone who has lived the nightly close, the processor statement review, and the vendor product roadmap.

Founder

Spencer Kunz Landgren.

Spencer has spent his career on both sides of the restaurant counter. He owned South Tampa Pizza in St Petersburg, Florida, and ran the floor through the same POS, payments, and online ordering decisions every independent operator faces. He has also worked on the SMB tech side, helping restaurants choose, integrate, and actually use the systems they already pay for.

Tableside AI grew out of a specific frustration. Operators were paying for ten or twelve software products that, on paper, should have been automating most of the back office. In practice almost none of them talked to each other, and the operator was still doing the reconciliation by hand at 11pm on a Tuesday. The tools were already paid for. Nobody was reading the data they produced.

The first version of Tableside AI was a side project that read processor statements for a handful of operator friends. It surfaced an average of forty basis points of overpayment per restaurant. After the third call where the operator said "we should pay you to keep doing this", it became the company.

Spencer splits time between Toronto and St Pete FL, working with operators in both markets and remote across North America.

Why Tableside AI exists

Operator-built means something specific.

Three positions every Tableside AI engagement starts from.

POS and payments veteran

Years of frontline experience in restaurant technology systems and the operator-side decisions that follow.

Operator and vendor lens

Outcome over hype

No theory. No buzzwords. Workflows that read your data and earn their keep monthly, in a written report you can hand to your accountant.

Independent and partner-friendly

Tableside AI works alongside your existing accountant, designer, and processor. We do not push tools we cannot defend in writing.

How we work

The smallest first move with the highest payback.

Every engagement starts with the highest-leverage move for your operation. For some operators that is the processor statement audit. For others it is the inbox triage that returns four hours a week. We do not propose a six-month roadmap on the first call. We identify the move with the fastest measurable payback, ship it, and let the operator decide whether to extend.

The work is documented in plain English. Every workflow ships with a one-page spec the operator can hand to their bookkeeper, accountant, or POS rep. No black boxes, no consultant-speak, no recurring monthly support a non-technical owner cannot evaluate.

Start with the visibility score.

The visibility score is the standard entry point. We read your stack, identify the highest-payback first move, and write it up. No upsell on the call.
